Revelations from the Past: Explore the Casentino Archaeological Museum
The Museo Archeologico del Casentino 'Piero Albertoni' (Casentino Archaeological Museum 'Piero Albertoni') is configured as a sensitively expanded exhibition of the collections already on display at the Partina Museum.
The current layout of the museum is completely renovated compared to the old Partina site and consists of six rooms.
Each event is carefully curated to offer an in-depth view of different eras and disciplines, allowing visitors to connect with the past.
The didactic proposals of the 'Piero Albertoni' Archaeological Museum are aimed at the knowledge and appreciation of the ancient history of Casentino through practical activities lasting about two hours.

The first nucleus of the museum dates back to 1996, the year the Partina site was opened, which housed the collections found in about thirty years of research conducted in the area by the Superintendency for Archaeological Heritage of Tuscany with the active collaboration of the Gruppo Archeologico Casentinese.
The Museum has an in-house library available to the public.
The volumes can be consulted on site only, subject to an email request to info@arcamuseocasentino.it to the attention of the Library and Archives Manager.

The didactic proposals of the ‘Piero Albertoni’ Archaeological Museum are aimed at the knowledge and appreciation of the ancient history of Casentino through practical activities lasting about two hours, centred on material sources from archaeological research in the area.
